Today there are two Parish Council by-elections in Buckhurst Hill. Currently the Liberal Democrats are the majority party on the council.

A RECORD OF ACTION...

*The Parish Council's quest to buy the Roding Centre is almost over. It has to ensure that all user groups leave the premises for a short break so that the purchase can be on a vacant possession basis. One group has failed to agree but negotiations are continuing.

*The results of the Local Liberal Democrats' survey showed, while a few residents in adjacent roads had some misgivings, the majority of residents in Stag Lane and Church Road voted in favour of a one-way scheme with a 20 mph speed limit.

We have recently discovered that the results were not sent onto the Essex County Council Highways Department by the officer at Epping and will not be included in the 2006-2011 County Road Plan.

We have now sent the results directly for future reference and will press for action if the traffic situation worsens.

... A PROMISE OF MORE

Carol's experience working with young people will be especially valuable when the parish council discusses facilities for children and young people.

Janice is involved in local community organisations including the Buckhurst Hill Community Association. She is keen to protect local services such as the adult education classes at Bedford House and Buckhurst Hill's local library.

Vote for Carol and Jan today! Polling Stations open from 8 am to 10 pm.
