Loughton Sign to be replaced

23 Jul 2006

Loughton Liberal Democrats were informed this week by the county council's highways department that they will be replacing the missing 'Loughton' sign in Loughton Lane that welcomes people travelling from Theydon Bois.

Local Liberal Democrats wrote to the highways department after the sign had been missing for a couple of months.

The sign should be replaced anytime between 3 and 10 August.

Loughton resident Neil Woollcott said "We are all proud of living in Loughton. The town is currently embarking on many changes to attract more visitors. It is only right that these visitors are given the right impression on entering out town."
