Lib Dems are working for you in Epping and Theydon Bois

Locally your LibDem councillors

1. Have campaigned to protect the character of Epping and Theydon Bois. They have put forward objections to the proposed South Epping site (by Brook Rd and Ivy Chimneys) in the Local Plan and to the Clean Air Zone (CAZ) which is likely to divert vehicles onto residential roads, especially in Theydon Bois.
2. Are active in trying to reduce speeding traffic. Cherry, Janet, Jon and Clive regularly take part in Community Speedwatch sessions which monitor and report speeding vehicles but the aim is to increase drivers' awareness of their speed so they keep to the required speed limit and reduce road accidents and deaths.
3. All the LibDem councillors recognise the importance of the voluntary sector and its contribution to the life of our community. All are involved in a variety of voluntary organisations which include those for young people, older people and those that care for the environment.
