The Tory council has bowed to public pressure and found an extra £5,000 for removing graffiti.

At the beginning of the summer Liberal Democrats across Epping Forest started a campaign against the Tory run district council's decision to cut funding for the graffiti removal service.

Many residents in Loughton, Buckhurst Hill and Waltham Abbey supported this campaign by signing the Liberal Democrat petition.

Loughton resident and campaigner Neil Woollcott said: "This small token is a step in the right direction by the Tory council.

"Liberal Democrats on the district council will keep up the pressure to ensure that graffiti removal service is properly funded," Neil added.
