Grange Hill Report Back- Crime

Over 50% of residents responding to Alan Lion's survey considered crime to be the most important issue.

Following complaints from local residents about gangs of youths intimidating shoppers by trying to get them to purchase alcohol, by-election candidate Alan Lion has contacted the police.

The police has assured Alan that they are taking measures to combat underage drinking , for example through Operation Quasar.

TORIES BREAK PROMISE

During the May elections the local Tory candidate promised to support local young people.

Since taking control of the District Council the Conservatives have provided no extra funding for youth services on Limes Farm or in Grange Hill.

LIB DEMS WORKING TO REDUCE CRIME

Lib Dem Parish Councillor, Alan Lion, is a member of the community centre working group. The group is looking at ways to engage youngsters by investing in community activities
