Councillors Inspect Golf Course Site

19 Sep 2005

In July local councillors Kay Rush and Janet Whitehouse accompanied council officers on their regular visit to Parsonage Farm golf course. For three hours they and representatives of the golf course walked the site inspecting the height of the mounds and the depth of the holes.

Some mounds were too high and the temporary road was way above the original height of the field. These will have to be reduced before the course is finished. Where the landscape officer and the course architect disagree about the height of a mound independent surveyors are to be brought in.

Throughout the visit lorries were arriving every few minutes. Kay and Janet asked questions about the source of the waste material and were shown the documentation which ensures it isn't contaminated. Most of the waste comes from house building sites.
