Councillor Ann Haigh discusses parking problems outside the shops near Roding Valley Station.

Despite requests from local Liberal Democrat councillors Dev Dodeja, Joyce Darby, Peter Spencer and Ann Haigh, the County Council failed to include Station Way in their Parking Review.

The massive influx of parked vehicles following the zone change at Roding Valley Station has led to shoppers being unable to park. The County Council has turned a blind eye to the plight of shoppers and traders.

Dev Dodeja said, `Local shopkeepers who provide a service to our residents fear being forced out of trading as customers are prevented by commuter parking from coming to their local shops.`
