1 May 2006

The unacceptable incompetence continues. read the latest letter from ECC Highways. We suggest you email your complaint to: Cllr.Colin.Finn@essexcc.gov.uk

Letter from Roland Matthews, Area Highways Manager, Essex County Council 19 April 2006

I refer to your recent correspondence with my colleague Spencer Brooks regarding the above. We can confirm that the draft Notices and Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) for the above scheme have been issued to our colleagues in the Law and Administration team, unfortunately at this time we have been unable to ascertain a programme when the TRO will be advertised in the press and on street.

We will continue to liaise with our colleagues and try to identify a programme for advertising and subsequent implementation of the Buckhurst Hill Parking Review.

Letter from Carol Taylor, Buckhurst Hill Parish Councillor 23 April 2006

Thank you for your letter of the 19th April, 2006 and I note what you say. However, District Councillor Ann Haigh and myself are concerned that you have not already been able to ascertain a programme for when the TRO will be advertised in the press and on the street bearing in mind that that the Parking Review was completed some months ago. We have received numerous enquiries from local residents as to when the new parking arrangements are likely to come into force.

As you know Councillors of this Ward [Buckhurst Hill West] have been pressing for the issue of parking to be addressed and resolved for some considerable time. May I therefore please hear from you as soon as possible as to when the programme will be available so that we can provide the residents with definite information.
