The Liberal Democrats are against Tory plans to cut funding for grafitti removal

Epping Forest Liberal Democrats have reacted in anger at the news that Conservative run Epping Forest District council is cutting the budget for removing graffiti.

Councillor Peter Spencer said: "The Tories were elected on a promise to improve the local environment. It is appalling that one of the first decisions the new administration has made is to cut this vital service."

In their 2006 election manifesto the Conservatives promised to 'continue to ensure the graffiti cleaning service is properly funded.'

You can report any graffiti on council property including road signs by phoning 01992 564 272 or by contacting the Lib Dem FOCUS Team.
