District councillors Bob Goold and Ann Haigh have been campaigning for years for action on parking around Buckhurst Hill

Buckhurst Hill West councillors Anne Haigh and Bob Goold attended a meeting to discuss the proposals for parking controls in Buckhurst Hill.

Following consultations with local residents your Lib Dem councillors proposed the following:

Dene Road should be removed from most proposals.

The no waiting restriction (10am to 2:30 pm) for Westbury Road should be reduced to provide more parking for students attending classes at the Buckhurst Hill Community Centre.

The intention is that a review of the parking measures will be undertaken six months after they have been introduced.

Cllr Bob Goold said "Although the proposals look promising, the Buckhurst Hill Liberal Democrats will lobby the County Council to ensure any issues from the review are dealt with."
