Liberal Democrats in Epping Forest are celebrating after slashing the Conservative majority in Grange Hill Ward to just 23 votes.

In May last year the Conservatives won the seat with over 150 votes. Now after six months of a Tory run council residents have given a thumbs down to the Conservative's broken promises.

Meanwhile the Labour candidate barely received 50 votes, coming fourth proving that the Liberal Democrat are the main challengers to the Tories in Epping Forest.

Lib Dem candidate Alan Lion said, "A big thank you to everyone who voted for me. I will continue to serve the residents of Grange Hill on the Parish council and keep you informed through regular FOCUS newsletters."
