Local Lib Dems campaigning to get local children into local schools

Over the past two months a poll run on this site has received 100% support in favour of the local Liberal Democrat campaign to encourage the Governing Body of West Hatch High School to change their admission policy.

This overwhelming support echoes a similar result (99%) in a local Lib Dem survey during the Chigwell Village by-election.

The current admission policy means that children who have a brother or sister at the school will be admitted first. The rest of the places will be allocated to those pupils from Redbridge and Chigwell who live closest to the school's front door.

The local Liberal Democrats believe that Epping Forest children should be given preference for admission. Epping Forest parents pay their taxes to Essex County Council who allocates funding to West Hatch School.
