The election today gives us a chance to vote for a new hard-working councillor to represent Chigwell Village on the Epping Forest District Council.

The Liberal Democrat group is the main opposition to the Conservatives on the council where no party has an overall majority. The group is working to protect our area from over development while ensuring that more affordable housing is provided for local families. The group has championed open, transparent local government, local planning meetings and parish councils. It has been in the vanguard of the campaign for the provision of the full range doorstep collection recycling service and is campaigning to improve facilities for young people in our area. It believes in the provision of efficient services while containing Council Tax.

Alan Lion will speak up for Chigwell residents
