Ann Haigh served as district councillor for Buckhurst Hill West District Councillor between 1996 and 2010. From 2001 to 2005 she was also Essex County Councillor for Buckhurst Hill. She has worked tirelessly to protect the town against inappropriate development and has championed many local causes including Bedford House community centre, road traffic and parking problems.
