Could a new Epping Forest star be chosen for Question Time?

June 1, 2006 12:00 AM

Are you young, well-informed, articulate and passionate about what matters today? If so, you have the chance to be a panelist on the BBC's flagship political programme, Question Time.

A team of students from around Britain are helping produce a special edition of Question Time with a youth theme and are looking for a new star panelist. Applicants must be aged 18-25 and send a mobile phone video clip explaining why they want to be on Question Time.

The successful candidate will go head to head with politicians and public figures in the debate chaired by David Dimbleby and broadcast to millions of viewers on BBC One.

Epping Forest Lib Dem Neil Woollcott (26 and therefore not able to take part!) urged Epping Forest residents to apply:

"Give it a go! Across Epping Forest, there are people with strong opinions, clear ideas and the ability to express them. I hope they will give it a go, and send their application into Question Time.

"You don't have to be a member of any party - but you will need to care about the big issues of today. Good luck!"
